West Fielding-Olene M. (Skip) Potter 65, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2009 peacefully at home surrounded by his beloved family. Olene was born to Steven L. Potter and Lucille Manning in Salt Lake City Utah. He married his eternal companion, Nondis Kae Jensen, on February 25, 1963. Olene spent the majority of his working career as a welder and was employed at Thiokol for many years. He loved farming and working outdoors. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings throughout his life. He had a lifelong thirst for knowledge. He loved spending time outdoors camping, hunting and fishing; the mountains were his solace. He was a talented guitar player, had a great enthusiasm and knowledge of firearms, but his grandchildren were the light of his life. Olene is survived by five children Michelle(Art) Huot, Vaughn(Pam) Potter, Shawn(Mindy) Potter, Tyler(Sabrina) Potter, Melissa Potter, 14 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two brothers, one sister and his mother. He was preceded in death by his father.
