My Shoes

Remember the shoes I talked about on My List?

I tried them on yesterday morning, and was going to try and wear them to work.

And then I tried to walk.

Long story short - they don't fit anymore. My feet have shrunk along with the rest of my body. 70lbs ago I could have rocked them...not so much anymore.

Sad day. And kinda funny too....

A list?

Do you have a list of things you want to do before you hit your next milestone Birthday? I've thought about making a list lots of times, but I never have. You see - I only have 2 things that are really something I want. 2 things that I've wanted since I was young. Two. T.W.O. That's CRAZY! Who only has TWO things they want out of life?

Me. So back off.

Seriously though...I want to have Children. Or Child. Something. And I want to see the Eiffel Tower. Not too much to ask really.

But then I think about little things...Like who I want to be. For example - Jeremy is about an inch shorter than I am. Not drastic and it doesn't bother either of us. Except that I used to wear 3 inch heels and wedges ALL THE TIME. Super sexy strappy black shoes. Chunky and fun red and white wedges. These GORGEOUS brown and gold heels...mmm.

Well, I don't wear heels at all now. It feels weird towering (and I mean TOWERING) above my husband. Maybe since I'm thinner now I wouldn't? I don't know. And I don't dare find out. I bought these totally adorable coral canvas wedges...and I think I worse them once. I was in love with these shoes. I hemmed and hawed over them for weeks, and finally picked them up. They probably aren't even in fashion anymore...but They sit on my floor by my closet. I see them every day. And I don't dare wear them. Jeremy doesn't mind me being taller than he is. It's totally my thing. But it's a big thing. A 6'3" thing. I want to be the kind of person who doesn't care about that. Who loves her shoes and wears them because they are too flippin cute to leave on the floor by her closet.

Or lose weight. I have a secret. I'm about to cross a MAJOR threshold on the weight frontier. I'll tell you when it happens...I'll probably throw a party in fact. It's BIG. So...since I'm almost there - can I put that on my list even though I will cross it off in the next couple weeks? Is that lame even though I've been working towards it for the last 2.5 years?? I think it's going on there.

I kind of want to put learning to sew on my list....But I'd like these things to be stuff I can actually do.

I crossed off one thing on my list today...I said I am sorry to someone I once hurt. That's sad, but also feels good too.

I'd like to learn Italian for when we move there to retire, but again... I want to actually achieve these things. LOL.

I've always wanted a beach cruiser. You know those adorable Schwinn bikes? I would even take a knockoff. I love them. But seriously? I live in Phoenix. Not so many beaches to cruise here...or parks...and Baseball diamonds don't count as parks by the way!! Still I think it should go on there. Kinda part of this new healthy body I have.

I'd like to go on a cruise too. I like the Ocean. Everyone I've heard about taking one has said it's great...Put down your spear gun Jeremy.

I'd like to bottle Raspberry Jam one day. I have had a huge urge to put up preserves this fall....I don't know why though. I have never done it. I've never thought about doing it. I've always wondered why people do it when the grocery store is just up the road. I know. I can't believe I just said that. The Mormon's will revolt! (that's funny because Mormons are BIG on food storage...I don't know if you knew that.)

I'd like to go to a spa. Never done it. The one Katie went to recently...That one would be AWESOME, but any good spa would do I think. Is it lame that I'm almost 30 and have never been to a spa? prolly. eh.

You know what's more lame? That I still only have a hand full of things on my list. But maybe if I put "add more things to The List" on my list...I wonder if that would work.

Do you have a list? What's on or would be on it? What have you already crossed off your list? Inquiring minds want to know...or at least mine does.
